I’m currently working on a new realism mod for Farming Simulator 25 focused on more believable vehicle and implement damage. This is a mod that is part of my larger mod called Full Vehicle Systems Mod, this is the progress for this part of the mod.
This system is designed to go beyond the base game by separating damage into different parts of the machine instead of treating everything as one single value.
Current features in development
Separate vehicle damage tracking
Engine
Transmission
Chassis
Separate implement damage tracking
Per-implement damage, so switching tools keeps each attachment’s own condition
Collision-based damage logic
Damage from hard impacts and fast non-braking slowdowns
Implement-only collision detection
Front tool priority damage
Example: pallet forks take the main hit
Front loader attachment takes reduced secondary damage
Base game damage sync
Movable HUD
Save/load support for damage values and HUD position
Current goals
The main goal is to make damage feel more realistic and more consistent:
tractor-only hits should damage the tractor
implement hits should damage the implement
front tools should take more damage than their parent attachment
normal work and movement should not create false damage events
Still being worked on
attachment name display improvements
balancing damage values
workshop/repair integration
more polish for HUD and notifications
further testing across different equipment types
This mod is still a work in progress, but the core system is already functioning well in testing.
