The Skill Tree mod is actively being worked on and is already functioning as an in-game ESC menu page with multiple skill categories, saved progression, XP gain, skill points, upgrade/refund systems, and early real perk effects. The overall menu structure is now much closer to the layout style I wanted, and I’ve also built internal debug tools so I can fine-tune positions and click areas without rebuilding the whole menu from scratch every time.
Right now, the main thing still being finalized is the left-side skill selection. The menu layout itself is getting much closer, XP can now be earned for testing, and perk logic has started to be wired in, but the skill row click targets still need cleanup so selecting each skill works exactly as intended. Once that is locked in, the next step is polishing the layout, confirming upgrade/refund behavior, and expanding the real gameplay effects tied to each perk.
