Mud System Physics is an advanced physics mod for Farming Simulator 25 that completely rethinks how equipment interacts with the soil during rainy weather.
🌧️ What does the mod do?
The mod adds a dynamic dirt system that affects:
- Wheel behavior
- Surface grip
- Visual effects
- Vehicle cross-country ability
- Condition of fields and soil
Every trip in the rain or on a damp field is a risk of getting stuck, and not just a pretty picture...
⚙️ Key features!!!
🟤 "Real" mud physics
Dirt is calculated from humidity in real time!
Wheels can:
- slip
- Lose grip
- Get stuck in the mud
The heavier the equipment, the higher the risk of getting stuck
🌱 Interaction with fields
Mud behaves differently on different types of field soil, for example, plowed fields are the most viscous!
Possibility of removing vegetation in deep mud (optional)
🛠️ Flexible settings!
The mod is fully customizable through the game menu:
- turn on/off the mud system
- strength of the viscosity effect
- influence of rain
- visual effects
- removal of vegetation
- And much more. (there are more than 20 different knobs and switches)
All parameters can be changed on the fly, without restarting the game.
Have a nice game!
(if on the maps where you play, under physical asphalt, the terrain brushes are drawn not of asphalt, but of mud or dirt, then in the rain the asphalt will look like dirt, turn off dirt on the terrain brushes in the settings.)
- Increased soil drying time after rain
- slightly increased soil wetting time
- Improved hud fashion, added a block for hud
- Slightly adjusted hud position presets
- The logic of the dirt in the margins has been rewritten. Now the humidity percentages are more influential,
that is, if there is 10% humidity on the ground, then the effects of dirt on the fields are minimal, and when the percentage of humidity in the ground increases, then the effects of dirt on the fields increase.
(but don’t forget that in the calculations, the strength of the rain is also taken into account, which means that if the rain is 100% and the humidity is still zero (since the game does not only rely on humidity),
then the effects will already begin to take effect.
- It was decided to cut out the settings of each individual layer of the earth. (they clogged the settings menu and as a result the FPS in the settings menu dropped, “was less”)
- The reset slider has been removed from the settings menu. All that's left is the (X) button at the bottom of the settings menu
- Improved hud mod. (Thanks to Sergey RMG)
- Some aspects of the script have been reconfigured. (now dirt on all types of field soil should stick normally)
- In the game settings, an item for selecting hud fashion icons has been added
- Added selection of the position of the mod icons by setting coordinates on the screen
- Added Spanish translation
Known Issues: Some players do not have mod settings in the general settings. (It's not clear why yet. I didn't find a conflicting mod)

- Added support for terrain brushes with water in the brush name. for example waterPuddle (such brushes work like dirt and outside the rain, this is a note for map authors)
- Added flexibility in settings for each field ground layer. (all 15 profiles)
- Fixed cases when under the fields on the maps there were mud brushes (terrain brush mechanics), the game applied two values at once as a field and as a terrain brush for mud. What could have caused the inappropriate behavior? (now if this is a field, then the field mechanics work)
- Added Italian translation from version 1.0.1 from player iguana32
Known Issues: Some players do not have mod settings in the general settings. (It's not clear why yet)
- the condition of contact with the terrain has been improved. (to avoid dirt particles on bridges) (if the maps you play under asphalt have dirt or mud brushes, there will be dirt effects, alas and ah)
- Minor color adjustment for additional dirt particles
- Reconfiguration of hidden physics values (for balance)
- An attempt to teach how to depict dirt when in contact with water.
- An attempt to correct shaking (jumping and jumping) along narrow paths, when contact with the terrain brushes quickly changes.
- Fixed the problem of small wheels. (there was a bug that they increased to a radius of 0.295, the limit value for wheels)
- Getting in and out of mud has become smoother.
- Added a separate button to the bottom of the settings to reset settings.
