Realistic Hours and Depreciation for Farming Simulator 25 is currently in development.

This mod aims to make machinery ownership more realistic by reworking operating hours, depreciation, second-hand machinery values, paint wear and leasing behaviour.

Machinery operating hours scale with the in-game time speed, while existing savegames can be converted through a one-time setup so previously accumulated hours match the new system.

Depreciation is calculated using machinery age, total operating hours and average annual use, allowing older low-hour machines to retain more value than heavily worked examples of a similar age. Implements use their own depreciation calculations, while the used machinery market generates more realistic combinations of age, hours and price.

Paint wear has also been reduced to prevent high-hour machinery from losing unrealistic amounts of paint, while mechanical damage remains separate.

Current planned/features being tested:
Operating hours scaled with in-game time speed
One-time existing savegame hour conversion
Per-save conversion tracking
Realistic vehicle depreciation
Separate implement depreciation
More realistic used machinery ages, hours and prices
Used machinery retains its displayed age and hours after purchase
Reduced visual paint wear
Balanced leasing costs with scaled operating hours
Base-game and compatible modded machinery support
Multiplayer compatibility

The FS25 version is still being tested and refined before release.
