This Work-In-Progress is completed and the mod can be downloaded!
FS25_SeasonalCropStress now detects and integrates with FS25_RealisticWeather automatically. No configuration is needed.
Without RealisticWeather, the mod runs its own soil moisture simulation. Each field tracks moisture from zero to one hundred percent, driven by rainfall, temperature, season, and soil type.
Evapotranspiration drains moisture over time, and your irrigation infrastructure adds it back. If moisture drops too low during a crop's critical growth window, stress accumulates and reduces your yield at harvest.
With RealisticWeather installed, the mod reads moisture directly from RealisticWeather's cell-level ground simulation instead of running its own. Your fields reflect the same moisture values that RealisticWeather uses, so what you see in the HUD is always consistent with what the game is calculating.
Irrigation infrastructure still works — water from center pivots and drip lines is applied on top of the RealisticWeather baseline and fed back into its system, so the moisture RealisticWeather uses for its own calculations stays accurate. Stress accumulation, the HUD overlay, the Crop Consultant alerts, and the irrigation scheduling dialog all continue to function normally. The harvest yield penalty from this mod is disabled, since RealisticWeather already applies its own moisture-based yield modifier at harvest.
In short: without RealisticWeather you get our full standalone simulation. With it, we become a visualization and irrigation management layer sitting on top of RealisticWeather's data.
