Fendt 300 Work in progress - realistic driving physics
The Fendt 300 is a compact, versatile tractor that is ideal for medium to smaller farms. This project aims to equip the 300 Fendt in the agricultural simulator 25 with a significantly more realistic driving physics than the standard model offers.
What has been implemented so far:
Structure and components: The physical vehicle structure was divided into individual components that are connected via joints to enable realistic nick and tank movements. This creates a dynamic vehicle movement that simulates the real suspension process.
Cycle suspension: The suspension of the front and rear wheels has been adjusted to have the tractor visible and physically correctly react to the bumps of ground. The travel, spring force and damping were set so that the tractor springs soft enough, but not too shaky or unstable.
Joint settings: The joints between components have been configured so that there is a natural mobility without the tractor being too strong on load or cornering.
Fine adjustment: Through several iterations, attempts have been made to find the perfect middle ground between stability and realistic suspension, so that the Fendt 300 appears natural and dynamic on trips on the field and road.
Next Steps:
Further fine tuning of the suspension values for even more realistic driving behavior
Implementation of an in-game tuning function to be able to adjust the suspension and damping live
Integration of sound and animation effects to improve the driving experience
Testing and optimizing under different soil conditions and load situations
This project is a living work in progress - the aim is to make the Fendt 300 driving experience as realistic and dynamic as possible.
