FS25 External GPS Control
What it is
External GPS Control is a Farming Simulator 25 mod that lets you control GPS style field guidance from a tablet, phone, or second monitor instead of only using the in game GPS menus.
You play FS25 on your PC as usual. A small helper program runs on the same PC and talks to the game through saved files. You open a web page in your browser (on the tablet or on the PC) that looks like a modern GPS display: map, set line, engage steering, and see whether you are on or off your guidance line.
The mod does not replace the game engine. It uses FS25’s built in steering assist on tractors that already have GPS. Your job is still to set where the line runs (point A and B, or a heading), press engage, and drive. The game steers the wheels; the tablet and HUD show you what is happening.
It is aimed at players who want a bigger, clearer GPS screen in the cab (like real farm displays) and simple engage / on line feedback while working a field.
You need: FS25 on PC, a tractor with GPS/auto steer, the mod installed, and the bridge program running. Optional: tablet on the same Wi‑Fi network.
What’s done
Tablet / browser screen: map, set A and B, heading, working width, engage and disengage steering.
Works with FS25 auto steer: uses the game’s normal GPS steering on supported tractors.
Line follow: when engaged, the mod tries to pull you back onto your A to B line if you drift off.
On track / off track display on the tablet and in the in game HUD (top right).
In cab shortcuts to set A/B, engage, open setup menu, toggle HUD.
In game settings tab for auto lift at turns, hide normal FS25 GPS, HUD on/off, curve options.
Auto lift tools at line ends and turns (optional).
Curve lines: record and follow curved paths.
Link status on tablet: shows if the game and tablet are connected, plus a GNSS style status (simulated, not a real satellite receiver).
Map view on the tablet when the save and map export correctly.
What still needs work / limits
Bridge required: you must run the helper program on your PC. It is not “install mod only.”
Tractor needs GPS / auto steer and you must be on a field, same as normal FS25 GPS.
GNSS / RTK on screen is simulated. It looks realistic but is not real hardware.
Steering can disengage if you turn the wheel manually. Press engage again.
No deep integration with Courseplay or other major GPS mods yet.
Multiplayer not fully tested. May need the mod as a ZIP for multiplayer.
Easier install for non technical users (simpler setup, better guide) not finished.
Works best when normal FS25 GPS would work on that tractor and field.
