Back in FS22, with the help of StephLeFermier, I discovered a clever workaround to push beyond the 32-crop limit long before Giants introduced official support for 64 crops. By using a secondary fruits.gdm and an additional foliage group, we were able to squeeze in extra crops. The method worked surprisingly well, though it had one notable drawback: occasionally two crops would overlap in the same field—one correctly on the ground, and another mysteriously floating above it.
With FS25 on the horizon, I revisited the idea. This time, instead of mixing everything together, I asked myself: what if I separated the crop types? Keep the arable crops in the main foliage group and move all orchard-style crops into the new, secondary group.
And—taa-daa—it works beautifully.
What I’ve Achieved So Far
Using this setup, I’ve managed to keep all multifruit crops in the main foliage group, including several that had previously been removed to make room for orchard crops:
Spelt
Triticale
White clover
Cover crop mix
Silphie
Not only are they back, but there’s still room for more.
In the secondary foliage group, I now have 14 orchard or vine-type crops, including:
Grapes & white grapes
Hops
Olives
6 Fruit trees
4 Berry bushes
Two new fruit trees: orange and lemon
And there’s still plenty of space left for additional orchard crops in the future.
What’s Coming Next
A BETA is on the way very soon. Once that’s out, the next goal is to introduce:
Taro
Vetch rye
Green rye
A full silage rework split into five types:
Grass silage
Corn silage
Crop silage
Alfalfa silage
Clover silage
If this method continues to prove stable and free of major issues, I plan to update Zielonka (likely requiring a new savegame) and develop a variant for Riverbend Springs as well (standalone map—new savegame required).
Exciting times ahead for anyone who loves deep crop variety in Farming Simulator. Stay tuned!
For starters I've extracted the map and prepared it for multifruit.
After finishing touches on Zielonka, will add the multifruit with the Real Orchards, but with few modifications: silphie, miscanthus (and possibly another crop) will be removed to make space for oranges and lemons, also will try to make Taro: a root crop to grow on rice paddies.
