Because of mods that add breakdowns and also because of an inside joke between the people I RP farm with where someone forgot to set the parking brake on tractor and it rolled away I wanted a service truck and this one complimented our fleet but it's honestly .... not well made.
Numerous errors in the logs such as 'Error: Mesh 'Plane.178_Plane.002' has zero triangles.' Nothing is mapped to i3d, just nodes while also mapping nodes to i3dmappings that don't exist. 98% of it is unnamed with generic blender shapes such as 'Cube.178_Plane.002'. The crane was mapped to custom keybindings instead of the standard crane axis for an unknown reason. The outriggers are broken (likely cause of custom keybindings). NONE of the dash gauges function or even have backlighting. A Miller wielder is being used to refill vehicles for some reason? Ohh and some random errors about the tension belts.
It doesn't even have working windshield wipers and someone made the comment 'best Kenworth mod ever made' /facepalm
Things I've already fixed:
- Added functioning windshield wipers
- Replaced strobe-lights on the cab with better one and added two to the rear and sides.
- Replaced the winch xml for the crane, also replaced the entire winch line and hook more appropriate for service truck. It's not a tow truck, but you can pull and lift vehicles and equipment.
- Replaced the entire MotorConfiguration with one more inline with a X15 T880, not one with 1800HP and instant braking.
- Changed the center of gravity and made the suspension stiffer so it feels like a truck and not a race car.
- Added tools to the toolbox for ... added an actual toolbox.
- Remapped the outriggers to IC controls.
- Replaced the cab interior with better materials. It now has black leather and rosewood trim accents.
- Changed all the dark black colors from the cab and sleeper to KW gray
- Removed empty and unneeded shapes and nodes ... like the shotgun on the floorboard next to the driver seat. Someone watched too much Fast and Furious?
- Renamed all nodes, but half of them still need to be properly mapped so leftWindow is not 0>2|1|1|0|2|5|7|8
- Added an actual fuel pump for the refueling side with a working animated pump.
- Custom 'ISOBus tablet' using DashboardLive that shows things like aux fuel level, transfer rate to target vehicle.
- Fixed the engine decals with proper 'Cummins X-15' decaals and not 'Interbrake' written in comic sans.
Things to fix:
- The dashboard. It'd be great if all the gauge worked and not just the speedometer. Even if they were just liked to dummy data like some other mods. This will take a long time since none of them are aligned/centered to where they can be rotated. Each gauge will have to be remade along with the XML code to make them function. Then they all need back lighting too.
- Fix all the doors so they can open with IC
- Fix the windows so they roll down separately
Extra things:
- Replace the crane with crane from the forestry tractor and move the winch to the front bumper.
- Replace the front headlights with better, more detailed ones.
