The tractor was developed at the Polish-Czechoslovak Tractor Research and Development Center in Brno, and then produced at the ZM Ursus plant in Poland in the years 1970-2009. Produced in 4,857 pieces. Many of them still work on Polish farms, and in smaller numbers in many other countries.
