The Faun Firefighter, popularly known as Faun FlKfz (Flugfeldlöschfahrzeug), is a heavy, highly specialized aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) vehicle. Originally commissioned by the Bundeswehr (German Army) and built on robust Faun multi-axle chassis, these vehicles are designed to combat massive and highly dangerous jet fuel and ammunition fires at air bases.
