The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is a United States military tanker aircraft designed for high-altitude, long-distance aerial refueling. It entered service in the late 1950s and became one of the pillars of United States Air Force aviation.
Powered by four engines and based on the Boeing 707 design, the KC-135 can carry large quantities of fuel and transfer it to other aircraft via rigid boom or hose and basket, depending on the mission.
