John Deere 46-4840

As shown earlier in the 30 and 40 series projects, these three tractors are the best dogs in their own series in terms of raw power and strength.
Besides the 6030, these three engines dominated the John Deere market in the over 120 drawbar horsepower category.
These tractors were truly the pioneers of high horsepower row crop design.
For the 30 series, the 4630 was a welcome power boost over the already powerful 4430.
With a longer frame and heavier construction, this tractor could do anything you could throw at it.
After taking over from the 30-series, the Iron Horses have outdone themselves with not one, but two high-powered rank-crop beasts.
Much like the 4630, the 4640 was a nice power boost and weight saving over the 4440.
However, unlike Series 30, the Iron Horses had an ace up their sleeve.
