I would like to introduce you to my current project: the community of Banzkow.
The map is created for the Farming Simulator as a 4-fold map and takes place in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, more precisely in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. It's my first map that I'm building completely from scratch - and at the same time a real mammoth project. 💪
My goal is not just to fill the region with existing buildings, but to recreate as many buildings as possible true to the original and thus capture the real character of the community of Banzkow and Lewitz. Of course, this means significantly more work and many hours of modeling, but it is precisely this attention to detail that makes the project so special.
A few key details about the map:
🌾 Fields: 639.53 ha
🌱 Meadows: 490.71 ha
🌲 Coniferous forest: 140.34 ha
🏘️ Banzkow: 113.84 ha
🏡 Mirow: 42.64 ha
The region is located directly on the beautiful Lewitz - a water-rich area of around 1,600 hectares southeast of the state capital Schwerin. The Lewitz is considered the largest contiguous meadow area in Germany and, with its fields, meadows, canals and small towns, offers a unique basis for a realistic farming simulation.
There is still a lot of work to be done, but little by little a small piece of Mecklenburg is being created in the LS. 🚜🌾
