Western Australia-based Modder trying to make as high-quality mods & edits possible for FS22 & FS25
Just wanna start by saying I think this is a great mod... But the thing that interested me the most were the monitors, I have to say. I currently live on a cattle farm (around 200 head of cattle give or take), so I do a good bit of hay to keep them fed, and I am mostly the baler man, and the baler monitor you have looks just like the one we have! I also like the look of the seeder and fertilizer controllers, though I don't know exactly how they'd work.. (I've always wanted to work on a huge grain farm)
TLDR; I really like the monitors you used and I was wondering if there was a way I can copy paste them into other tractors so they would have the option as well or if I'd have to JoNo or something. Thanks in advance.
@JDEnthusiast006 These monitors were taken from JoNo's mod originally. All you'd need to do is get Giants Editor, unzip the mod, open the i3d and located the monitors in the file tree (look at some tutorials on YouTube to get you started) The monitors I chose for this mod were based on the monitors we have in our real 7810, which was used on the baler (hence the bale monitor), sprayer (GPS monitors and Raven/Bestway controls) and will be useing it for seeding this year. (Which, might be what the M6000 and Kinze controls are for... not sure on those ones) Glad you enjoy it!
@nexer0zdv I suggest using https://fs25assets.mantrid.net/colour/ to help you out. It's got the tire finder, colour picker, and light assets on the website's listings. This should help you navigate the FS25 game files to help you locate and swap out the FS22 tires for FS25 ones, as well as the Hella Spotlights, Light bars etc. Reason why only a handful of the original tires on the tractor showed up initially in FS25 is because 25 has a separate set of XML's and i3D files compared to FS22, so once you find the tires you want, I suggest opening the "Wheel" xml's in the mod file, then locating that tire you want to put on it, and copy/paste the first 3 lines of code into the Wheel XML.
@nexer0zdv Nope, still not possible. Believe me I have tried. If I'm to convert a mod to FS25 I want it done properly, and it's hard for me to actually do so if the textures keep blurring in and out of focus in-game all the time. You could always have a go at converting it yourself, just bear in mind it'll have a ton of errors in the log initially.
@xXMGXx Yes, I'm aware of this and have tried to fix it in the past, but I haven't been able to find a solution as of yet. Believe me I have tried! Through testing however, while the tractor looks as though it tries to tip over when turning full-lock it's never successfully tipped over on my end. If memory serves, NEFG's version in FS19 did this too. So, the only thing I can really suggest for now is gentle on the steering and avoid turning sharp full lock where possible. If and when I find a solution I'll put one final update out fixing the steering.
Just downloaded this mod and whacked it ingame now. Have noticed some warnings come up in the log, but shouldn't be too tricky to fix:
Warning: CATERPILLAR' is an unknown brand! Using Lizard instead!
Error: Missing dds file 'data/shared/dirt_specular.dds'
Error: Can't load resource 'data/shared/dirt_specular.dds'.
Warning (C:/Users//Documents/My Games/FarmingSimulator2022/mods/FS22_CatLexion500/lexion600.xml): I3D file offers '3' objects, but '2' components have been loaded!
These only appear with the CAT version, the European Claas version doesn't appear to share these issues apart from the i3D file offers '3' objects, but '2' components have been loaded issue.
The brand warnings should be a quick fix in the moddesc xml which I'm quite happy to do myself, however I wanted to just let you know so that players don't take one look at the Cat lexion go 'why is it LIZARD?' and end up ditching an otherwise good quality mod edit.
